Since 1995, when the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation first retained FSB as its architect and engineer of record, FSB has continued partnering with the Noble Research Institute to expand and upgrade its campus in Ardmore. Building on this strong partnership, our team was recently chosen by Noble Research Institute to reimagine Building E as a central workplace on the campus.
Building E is an approximately 20-year-old, three-story structure currently configured to support mostly benchtop research, most of which is vacant and no longer necessary. Generally in good condition with well-maintained engineering systems, Building E’s new design focuses on facilitating Noble’s mission-driven purpose and fostering meaningful employee connections and interactions.
Our integrated team was able to hit the ground running on this project because of our holistic understanding of Noble’s campus, as well as our work on the programming for Building E and other campus projects. FSB, in association PGAV Architects, held design workshops to engage Noble’s leadership, user groups and owner’s representative to re-think strategies associated with how to optimize collaboration and productivity while also attract and keep talent.
Using our expertise in transforming and modernizing existing buildings and infrastructure, our team developed multiple design alternatives to deliver a contemporary workplace with state-of-the-art technology, enhanced performance and improved maintainability which functions to reinforce Noble’s culture and mission.
