U.S. 64 over State Highway 165 Bridge Rehabilitation

FSB ‘rescue squad’ performs repair assessment for frequently damaged bridge.

Due to recurring damage from inadequate clearances, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) wanted to assess the feasibility of raising the bridge a minimum of 6 inches and replacing the deck of one of the bridges. Our team provided an assessment recommending improvements including substructure repair, bearing replacements, deck replacement and an approach upgrade for this interchange. We also provided plans to raise the beams 8 inches for both bridges and to reconstruct the approaches and the northeast off ramp.
