AAR Maintenance Hangar Expansion & New Fuel Workshop

AAR has expanded its maintenance operations at Will Rogers International Airport with a new 76,475 SF three-bay narrow-body hangar connected to its existing North Hangar.

The new building abuts an existing hangar with a portion of the existing hangar office area that was demolished to provide for the new building footprint. In tandem, existing fuel lines from an existing fueling tank area were relocated as well.

The free span pre-engineered metal building design allows clear access for maintenance to three airplanes at the same time. Near each plane are dedicated work areas containing mobile tool carts and working tables. The hangar has sealed concrete flooring, factory-finished metal liner panel walls, and painted exposed structure ceilings. Utility spaces has sealed concrete flooring, a resilient wall base, and painted walls.

Adjacent to the new hangar, there is a tool area, metal shop, small paint booth and parts storage that can be accessed from the hangar area. The parts storage area will receive shipments from the main site access road.

The office area contains ADA-compliant restrooms, janitor closet, break room, offices, hoteling offices, meeting room, mechanical, electrical and communication rooms. Interior finish materials are durable and easy to clean while also being bright and modern.

Additionally, the new 1, 143 SF Fuel Workshop is a 28′ by 40′ pre-engineered metal building to house storage, vehicles, tools and other miscellaneous support items for the fuel farm.
