Critical company files are housed in this striking new records center.

At the request of Devon Energy Corporation ─ a long-time client ─ the FSB team designed and constructed a new storage facility to house its physical records. Avoiding the “concrete box” look of most such structures, FSB designers instead created a two-story facility with a more striking exterior, highlighted by a royal blue façade surrounding a dramatic two-story glass paneled entry and lobby area.

The bulk of the facility serves as a warehouse home for the company’s records. The interior design utilizes a raised access floor system and a two-story vertical manual retrieval system, both of which create a secure, stable environment and can withstand seismic activity. A small communications room allows for vital connections with other Devon buildings, including its separate electronic data center.

The building includes a state-of-the-art VESDA (very early smoke detection activation) system which helps protect the valuable records stored within.
