Family-friendly resort, rich in Choctaw heritage, is the end result of careful master planning.
Intended as a celebration of the Choctaw Nation heritage, tribal leaders requested that FSB design a themed resort in the tribe’s capitol city of Tvshka Homma. The resort is envisioned as a way to draw visitors to the capitol and provide a place for families and others to gather and have fun. An additional goal is to attract new business into the somewhat isolated Tvshka Homma area and surrounding communities.
FSB’s master plan creates a road map for the Nation to pursue development of this project at a future date. The design features 64 guest rooms, plus cabins for larger groups and families, a conference center with space for 80 people, a dining area, and a kitchen capable of providing catering services for up to 200. Also included in the plans are a 75-game casino, fitness center/spa, a pool, fire pits and a large outdoor deck.
A small outdoor amphitheater with space for cultural events and workshops rounds out the facility, while the resort grounds would offer specially designed areas for hiking and biking trails, fishing, canoes and paddle boats, plus miniature golf, disc golf, sand volleyball, archery and horseshoes.
