At FSB we are the best – because we employ the best.

When you join the FSB team you’ll find the best of both worlds — a dynamic, growing company that’s never lost the close-knit family feel established by founders Wally Frankfurt and Harold Short way back in 1945. At the same time, we are national in reach so that you will have the opportunity to work on major projects across the U.S. and beyond, and do so with the latest technology, resources and professional support.

As the winner of five AIA “Firm of the Year” awards, we take a collaborative, team-oriented approach, where everyone’s ideas are welcome. We want talented and self-motivated architects, engineers, interior designers and support staff who share this philosophy, and who enhance our reputation for extremely high-quality service.

Our employees are our greatest asset. That’s why we are all about helping them grow as professionals and as people, and we offer all the tools and support you need to make it happen. In our minds, professional development is critical to our overall success, as well as each employee’s career satisfaction.

  • Mentor Program

Each employee who starts with FSB is immediately paired with a mentor who helps them adjust to their new work environment. Through these mentorships we strengthen our learning-focused culture. Employees also have the opportunity to interact with and learn from experienced staff in all our design and engineering disciplines.

  • Ignite

One of the most popular things we do as a company are these monthly employee get-togethers. Here we encourage employees to share their individual hobbies and passions outside of their professional life, and we throw in some development opportunities as well. Plus, we provide snacks!

  • Lunch & Learn

As the title suggests, Lunch and Learns are special hour-long training or development lunchtime gatherings focused on a single topic. These regular sessions not only help our staff stay up to date with technology and industry trends, they also provide opportunities which assist our licensed professionals in meeting continuing education requirements.

  • Summer Internships

Our FSB summer internship program allows undergraduate students to work on exciting projects across our seven market sectors, learning under the guidance of architects and engineers who are industry experts. We also send our summer interns through the Greater Grads InternOKC program. This five-week program gives participants a unique opportunity to meet and network with other interns in the broader Oklahoma City area. Both of these initiatives teach valuable skills that our interns carry with them as they transition from college students to young professionals.

  • Young Professionals

FSB’s Young Professionals (YP) program is dedicated to exploring and bridging the generational gaps that often occur in the workplace. YP serves a dual purpose – to engage and guide younger staff members, while offering valuable feedback and perspectives to company leadership about this important segment of our employees. YP is open to all employees under age 32, whose insights are sought to help develop FSB’s procedures, outreach and growth moving forward into our future. The group conducts monthly lunch meetings organized around a variety of topics and deliver quarterly reports to management concerning the group’s discussions and findings. Organized around FSB’s guiding principles, the initial topics include issues such as workplace attire and schedules, teamwork, professional licensing and communities relevant to YPs, among others.

  • Leadership FSB

This special outreach initiative, implemented through our associates program, is designed to reinforce FSB’s guiding principles and strengthen the bonds between our team members.

  • Associates Program

Senior Associates and Associates take on additional leadership roles by developing and fine-tuning FSB’s development initiatives, education programs and public outreach efforts, under the guidance of our corporate leaders.
